Now before me put my fate
From the voice of one I hate
Sounds ringing through my head
Telling me I'll soon be dead
From the darkness of hell unseen
Comes the voice of evil's king
Foreseen by one the evil in man
Death brought down by once friendly hand
Mocking laughter filled with hate
Time is passing..getting late
This face before me
Evil shown
Speaking words of future known
So I say now to my foe
Show me now all that you know
Then through the mouth
To the Devil's heart
Down I'm swallowed
In whole and part

This was a class project in 9th grade to write a poem about the book we just read (Lord of the Flies). If you know the story then you should be able to follow the hidden meanings

i like how the rhythm makes it like chanting. it's been a while since i read that book, so i didnt figure out all ur deeper meanings. cept maybe about the evil inherent in man. nice one
